The Martinis will probably follow a similar path to other 60’s beat combos. Pack in the touring. Become a studio band. Release a groundbreaking album or two. Then argue about management, split up and have solo careers. Oh yes, I can see it all before me…
Thank you kindly dear sir for noticing that small detail. Yes, the Music for Displeasure label is now an official sub-label of Good Boy records under which we release oddities and whatnot. It was actually pegged as the title of Chip Martini’s second album but House of Shades won out in the end because it’s a track off the record. That said, I had great fun designing an album sleeve!
The album sleeve is great and loved that detail. Also the song was great fun— pretty much captured everything about that era with that style of song. Well done.
